Lifetime Warranty
At Wooftag, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality products, which is why we offer a lifetime warranty on every Wooftag against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty assures you of the functionality of the product for its normal lifespan.
1. Scope of the guarantee
Our lifetime guarantee covers the entire lifespan of the dog tag, which is on average 15 years , depending on the dog's breed and individual living circumstances. This estimate is based on the tag being used under normal conditions of use.
The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser of the dog tag and is not transferable. It covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during proper use of the tag.
The guarantee primarily covers the function of a Wooftag, which means that the QR code as well as the NFC chip must be readable.
Please note that the warranty does not cover damage caused by, for example, the following circumstances:
- Normal wear and tear that is to be expected after reasonable use (e.g. scratches, fading of colors),
- Misuse or improper handling (e.g. damage due to improper attachment, wear and tear due to constant pulling on the leash),
- Broken protective layer , which can only occur due to external influences
- External influences , such as accidents or extreme weather conditions,
- Repairs by unauthorized third parties .

2. Assertion of the guarantee

To make a warranty claim, we require the order number or proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation). Our team will examine the case and clarify the next steps with you.
3. Services in the event of a warranty claim
As part of the guarantee, we offer you the following options if a guarantee case has been confirmed:
- repair of the product,
- Exchange for an equivalent or similar product (if the original is no longer available),
- If a repair or replacement is not possible, we will offer you a refund of the purchase price .
We will cover the costs of sending the defective product to us. However, if the product is not covered by the warranty (e.g. due to improper use), we reserve the right to charge the costs of returning the product and inspecting it. The customer will cover the costs of shipping and packaging for a replacement product, and we will cover the cost of the product.
4. Limitations and Exclusions
The lifetime warranty does not apply in cases of:
- Normal wear and tear of the product (including wear and cosmetic defects),
- Damage caused by improper handling, misuse or negligence ,
- Accidents or external influences that are outside normal use,
- Modifications or repairs carried out by unauthorized persons or workshops.
5. Legal rights of the consumer
This lifetime guarantee is a voluntary service from [Your Company] and does not limit the consumer's statutory warranty rights in any way . The statutory rights, in particular according to §§ 437 ff. BGB, remain unaffected. This means that you can assert the statutory claims for defects regardless of this guarantee.
6. Deactivation of the guarantee
We reserve the right to revoke this warranty if the product has been deliberately damaged or used improperly. The warranty may also be invalidated if significant changes or modifications have been made to the product that have not been authorized by us.
